Day 1 – PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, you are warmly welcomed by our tour friendly tour guide and then transfer to hotel for check-in. (room may not ready till afternoon)
Start the tour by a visit to the Royal Palace, serves as the residence of the King, a venue for court ceremony and as a symbol of the Kingdom. Inside the Palace grounds street sounds are silenced by the high walls and the royal buildings. Attached to the Palace compound, Wat Preah Keo Morokat (Silver Pagoda) is unique amongst pagodas; it is so named for its 5000 silver tiled floors. Continue to the National Museum, one of Phnom Penh’s true architectural gems. It was designed in Khmer style in 1917 by famed French architect Georges Groslier & Ecole Des Arts Cambodians. Overnight in Phom Penh.

Day 2 – PHNOM PENH – ROYAL PALACE – WAT PHNOM – TOUL SENG – KILLING FIELDS (B, L)

After breakfast at Hotel, visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles. Continue to visit Wat Phnom, a symbol of the city. Located on one of the few hills in this pancake-flat capital, the first pagoda was originally built in 1373 to house Buddha statues discovered in the Mekong by a woman named Penh. This gives us the modern name of the city, Phnom Penh or Hill of Penh. Cambodians come to the shrine to pray for luck in love and life, employment and exams, so there. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon, continue your visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Then, continue to the notorious Killing Fields “Choeung Ek” 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison during the Pol Pot regime (From 1975–1979). Lastly, we will take a short stop for photograph at Independent Monument. Then drive along Sothearos Blvd for a city view and shortstop for a walk to enjoy the fresh air at Chaktomouk River Bank. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Phnom Penh.

Day 3 – PHNOM PENH – TRANSFER TO SIEM REAP BY PUBLIC BUS (NO GUIDE) (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free on your own leisure until the time our driver (no guide) picks up for an overland transfer to Siem Reap. The distance is about 312km which takes about 6 hours of driving.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, directly transferred to your comfortable hotel for check-in and take a rest. The remaining of the day is free on your own leisure. Meals on your own arrangement and account. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 4 – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR THOM – TA PROHM – ANGKOR WAT (B, L)

After breakfast at hotel, we go out to visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): The South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to visit Ta Prohm Temple, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. The temple of Ta Prohm was once used as a location in the famous Hollywood film Tomb Raider. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 5 – SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI – BANTEAY SAMRE – CHONG KNEALS FLOATTING VILLAGE (B, D)

Breakfast is served at the hotel. at 8:00 am a visit to the enchanting temple of the Banteay Srei, nearly everyone’s favorite site. Banteay Srei was constructed from sandstone, instead of the volcanic laterite commonly used at Angkor, and this material allowed the ancient craftsmen to demonstrate the full scope of their extraordinary stone-carving skills. Virtually every inch of this diminutive temple is covered in carvings of exquisite detail and sharpness. On the way back, drive through village and paddies to Banteay Samre. This temple was constructed late 9th century by King Surayavarman II. Many of its carvings are still in excellent condition.
Afternoon, we excursion to visit the floating village of Chong Kneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Take a traditional wooden boat for a ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is the same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village” moves from place to place following water levels and current. Also stop at Old Market, “Phsa Chas”, a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. Transfer back to hotel. Tonight join dinner show at Art Shadow restaurant Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 6 – SIEM REAP DEPARTURE (B)

DEPARTURE FLIGHT @TBA
Breakfast at the hotel. leisure time until the transfer to Siem Reap Airport for departure to the next destination.
